The People Behind the Care
Carol
Carol has worked with children her entire life, from preschoolers to supporting children with serious illnesses. For the past 22 years, she has been a familiar and trusted elementary school crossing guard, forming lasting relationships with the families she sees every day. She says it best: “Kids are my world—any age.” Carol brings warmth, patience, and genuine love to every child she cares for.
Claudette
Claudette is a hard working, resilient, and trustworthy caretaker with many years of experience caring for patients and family members with busy routines and ultimately satisfying her patients.
Britt
Britt has raised a now-grown son and a godson who spend 10 weeks every summer in her home. She has worked with many children in different church assignments from infant age to 18-year-old. She loves meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures. She enjoys traveling, cooking, theater, and dancing.
Remembering the stress of trying to make it home in time to pick up from daycare, getting her son to activities, or finding help last minute to watch him when there was a late meeting, she looks forward to helping where she can.
Teresa
Teresa is the mother of three grown sons & one grandson who is 16 months old. She has worked in healthcare for close to 30 years. Beginning her career as a certified labor and postpartum doula was an amazing experience. Working in the hospital took her to several different rolls within labor & delivery and finally to the NICU.
She loves to read and spend time outdoors going to MLB/ minor league baseball games.
Melissa
Melissa is a warm, nurturing caregiver who truly loves spending time with children. As a mom of four adult children and a hands-on grandmother with full-time infant care experience, she brings patience, reliability, and real-life know-how.
She enjoys getting creative—whether baking, cooking, or finding fun ways to keep kids engaged and smiling. In her free time, she loves biking, kayaking, and caring for her chickens.
Melissa looks forward to bringing her energy and caring spirit to On Call Grandma families.
Sue
Sue mothered three children and was an adult critical care respiratory therapist before retiring and becoming a daycare provider for her infant grandson. She loves to play, encourage, and rediscover the world through the imaginative lens of children of all ages. Her 8-year-old grandson lives in Costa Rica and her 6-year old grandson lives in Kentucky. She is grateful for the technology that allows them to remain connected and to play long-distance. She believes in the value of assisting families as they navigate through their busiest times by providing safe, nurturing, and reliable help.
Sue enjoys making new discoveries, gardening, swimming, and connecting to history and her family through genealogy and have written and documented family stories through prose and photos for the next generations.
Renee
Renee is a caring and nurturing person. She understands the challenges that raising a family presents and is happily ready to help navigate the busiest times of life.
Ellen
Ellen has two grown daughters and a 10-year-old grandson. She is compassionate and dependable. She taught preschool for 10 years and was an Activites Director for 8 years at a local nursing home. Ellen treats people with kindness and respect, just like family.

Kim G.
Kim is a mama to four children through the blessing of adoption. The oldest ones are now adults, and her youngest is 15, keeping her young at heart and on her toes. She also has four grandchildren. She is also a veteran teacher for a local public school system with over 32 years working with students in grades K-8. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, exercise, and hike.

Kim loves spending time with children. She enjoys playing games with them and seeing the world through their eyes.
She’s a proud grandmother of four, plus two step-grandchildren, and misses having younger kids around now that they’re older and is looking forward to spending time with children again.
Kim’s hobbies include biking, macramé, and gardening.

Tesha
Tesha is a nurturing, warm, and friendly person who enjoys helping others. She has years of experience caring for children. In her spare time, she does community service, exercise, watch HGTV and spending time with family and catching up with friends.
Ann
Ann is kind, loyal, reliable and trustworthy. She has 40 years experience as a Professional Nanny plus raising two children of her own. Ann eagerly devotes herself to providing a safe and nurturing environment for those in her care.
Diane
Diane is an avid traveler, loves exploring new places, tasting different foods hoping to recreate the recipe, and collecting quirky kitchen souvenirs. She treasures time with her family including two four-legged tail-waggers. She is currently involved in training one of these furry friends to be a therapy dog.
